That WE may Know
Luke 1:1-4 (12/02/24) By Kim Gaddy

1 In as much as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us,
2 Just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,
3 It seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus;
4 So that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.
((Col. 4 tells us Luke was a physician. And this passage shows the methodical approach Luke uses as he attempts to gather all the info from eyewitnesses concerning everything surrounding Jesus. From John's miraculous birth to Jesus's miraculous birth thru His ministry, the cross and the resurrection and even to His ascension. Luke is writing this to Theophilus but the Holy Spirit guided him and has protected it through the millennia of time for us to have to read and study. The Book of Luke is as honesty an account of Jesus's life and the events surrounding it as anyone could have wrote. Luke does his research, his homework, just as you would expect a physician to do, and he compiles his gospel to be as detailed as possible. Knowing this makes reading Luke's account all that more important for all of us to read, study and understand. Luke states; it is an orderly account and that he wrote it so Theophilus could KNOW THE EXACT TRUTH OF what he had been taught. Spend time reading the book of Luke and let God speak to your heart today. WE CAN KNOW the exact truth, AMEN.))
((be all you can be for God today. Pray, Read, Listen and then Do. God has preserved His word for us to have but it doesn't do us any good if we never spend time reading it. We love You Lord, open our eyes and hearts to Your written word and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Amen))
((Pray for our country, its leaders and our schools and our churches. Pray for each other and pray for our pastors. Thank you.))
